On July 19, 2026, the international high diving competition took place at the Museon Arts Park in Moscow as part of the “Two Rivers” street festival. Athletes from 12 countries, including Russia, the USA, Australia, Mexico, and Spain, performed jumps from a height of 27 meters. The diving platform is as tall as a nine-story building, and the entry speed into the water reaches 95 km/h.

The competition was supported by the Russian Water Sports Federation. Among the participants were world high diving stars: Carlos Gimeno (Spain), Miguel Garcia (Mexico), Artem Silchenko (Russia), and Blake Aldridge (UK). The judges evaluated the complexity of acrobatic elements, the cleanness of the water entry, and the overall technique.

Despite the large crowd, I managed to get onto the accredited tribune and capture the atmosphere of this extreme sport. Athletes in mid-flight and the emotions after the landing — these are the shots that convey the true spirit of the competition.
