On July 11, 2026, the Luzhniki Tennis Palace hosted one of the main matches of the Moscow Tennis Festival— a show match between Karen Khachanov and Alexander Bublik.
I received accreditation for this event and, in addition to the dynamic shots from the court, I made a portrait series with Karen — in the moments of his communication with the children after a demonstration workout and during the show elements on the court. This allowed us to capture not only the game, but also the atmosphere of the athlete’s communication with the public.
Karen Khachanov is one of Russia’s strongest tennis players, a silver medalist at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, winner of seven ATP tournaments and a Davis Cup winner with the Russian national team. A former world number eight, he is one of the leading players on the world tour. Born and raised in Moscow, he started playing tennis at the age of three. He has won victories over the world’s strongest players and the status of one of the most stable Russian tennis players of the last decade.
