From August 26 to 31, the final of the Russian Aquabike Championship and National Championship took place at the Rowing Canal in Krylatskoye. The country’s strongest athletes competed for titles in circuit racing, slalom, and freestyle.

On August 29, the main competition day, the weather was sunny and the atmosphere was truly intense. The program featured circuit racing in Ski Division GP1–GP3 and Runabout GP1–GP2 classes, as well as freestyle. In GP1, Sergey Alekseenko claimed victory, confirming his leadership on the most powerful type of aquabike. Among the top competitors were also renowned master Sergey Chemezov and one of the favorites, Alexey Mishustin.

A total of about 150 athletes from 15 regions took part in the competition. The races were held on two types of watercraft: Runabout (with a seat) and Ski Division (without a seat). The winners were Maria Besschastnaya (Ski GP1, circuit racing and slalom), Alexander Zakharov (Ski GP3), Oleg Shutrov (Runabout GP3), and Timofey Korolev (Runabout GP4).
